Welcome Fans, Friends, and Visitors,

Picture of Keith Rosen,

Hi.

January is one of the slower months.  This can be attributed to people saving their money to pay for the presents that they bought and the money that they spent partying for the holidays of December.  We hope that this year will be the best year so far in your life and the worst year to come in your future.  It also has two holidays that result in people often staying home.  The Mardi Gras also known as Carnival season of indulging in those pleasures that are viewed as decadent begins on January 7th.

Weather in Houston

January is Houston’s coldest month.  Be prepared to wear a coat.  The 5th and the 8th are generally the coldest days of the year.  Click here for the weekly report.  Click here for the weekly report.

Welcome Fans, Friends, and Visitors,

Picture of Keith Rosen,

Hi.

Hi.  The Christian New Year begins this week.  This is yet another excuse to party.  This is also the last week of the NFL 16-game regular season of 32 teams as well as the first week of the 4-rounds of the playoffs.  The playoffs bring more excitement with the 10 best remaining teams vying for the Super Bowl.

Weather in Houston

From mid-December through February, Houston can deal with heavy fog in the morning until about 10:00 AM.  If the temperature of the air sinks below its dew point, water vapor will condense around dust in the air to form fog.  The dew point is the temperature to which air must be cooled to become saturated with water vapor.  The dew point is similar, but not the same as humidity.  A comfortable dew point is about 60 degrees Fahrenheit/15 degrees Centigrade and below.  The dewpoint is often 75 degrees Fahrenheit/24 degrees Centigrade and higher.  Thus, when the air temperature is lower than the dew point, Houston has fog.  Click here for the weekly report.
