Keith’s Blog – January 12 – 18, 2020
Welcome Fans, Friends, and Visitors,
Hi.
Hi. For most people, the winter holidays are over as people are back at work and school, unless you are retired. You should go on a tour during this slow period.
Weather in Houston
Houston has an average of 4 days of frost in January. The month is frequently very windy which helps to accentuate the wind chill temperature. Click here for the weekly report.
Monthly Special for a 2.5-Hour Walking Tour – Discounted by 17 to 29% Based on the Number of People
The monthly special for January on Tuesday through Saturday only is a Montrose Area Museum District Walking tour. This tour is available form 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Tuesday through Saturday.
You could potentially go inside about one dozen museums, art galleries, and chapels that are all FREE. These include:
- The Dan Flavin Installation.
- The Cy Twombly Gallery.
- The Menil Collection.
- The Watercolor Art Society.
- The Houston Center for Photography.
- The Rothko Chapel.
- The Chapel of Saint Basil.
- The former Byzantine Fresco Chapel Museum.
- The Neon Gallery.
- The University of St. Thomas Art Gallery.
- Other art galleries.
If nothing else, this area is a quiet and beautiful neighborhood full of oak trees. If you do not focus on trying to get into every museum, gallery, and chapel, a pleasant and relaxing walk awaits you. The tour starts at the free parking lot pathway that leads to Sul Ross Street. The parking lot has two access points: 1515 West Alabama Street, Houston, Texas 77006 and 3808 Mulberry Street, Houston, Texas 77006.
Weekly Special for Driving Tours – January 12th through January 18th. Discounted 20%.
With school back in session, consider going on one of our University Tours. Did you know that Houston is an academic magnet with 5 significant universities and two of the ten biggest community colleges. Click here to read a description.

These are 3-hour customized tours that can be blended. The price is the same as a regularly priced 3-hour City Tour. You pay for anything that you consume. The National Food Days include:

See you on a tour.
